July 2 - Downtown Arcadia Patriotic Festival and Fireworks The downtown Arcadia Patriotic Festival and Fireworks will take place from 5 - 9:30 p.m. on 1st Avenue between Huntington Drive and Diamond Street. Entertainment on the main stage will be by The Alumni, all graduates of Arcadia High School in the 1970s. There also will be an Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation entertainment lounge at 200 South First Avenue featuring guitarist Roger Espinoza and a Neighborhood Music School Stage. July 4 - Independence Day Festival. Activities take place at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill. The festival, games and entertainment begin at 10 a.m. with a flag-raising ceremony at 9 a.m. (and a pancake breakfast will be offered for a fee from 7 - 10 a.m.). Activities (game booths, speakers corner, entertainment) will take place until 2 p.m. The 4th of July parade begins at 10 a.m. The parade begins at the corner of Indian Hill Blvd. and 10th Street (Memorial Park), travels south on Indian Hill to Harrison and west to Mountain Avenue, ending at Larkin Park. July 4 - Covina Concert Band 4th of July Breakfast and Rotary Car Show and Music Festival. Valley Cultural Center Concerts on the Green. Concerts take place Sundays with emerging artists performing at 5:30 p.m. and the headline band performing at 6:30 p.m.. (unless otherwise noted) at Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Road. No alcohol; tents/canopies/umbrellas permitted only until concert starts, then must be removed.
