Food booths, picnic games and a small carnival (nominal fee) will open at 3 p.m. Music will begin at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. Pets, personal fireworks, smoking and alcohol are not allowed. The Alhambra Performing Arts Center, under the direction of chef/artistic director Bill Yee, will present a performance by Hong Kong's "Little Beatle" Danny So and actress/singer Cici Lau. The program will take place at 7 p.m. in the Sage Granada Park United Methodist Church, 1850 W. Hellman Drive. Seating is limited and on a first-come basis. July 4 - July 4th Fest and Fireworks 2022. The July 4th Festival and fireworks show will take place from 6 - 9:30 p.m. at Grand Park, Town Center Amphitheater, 6101 City Lights Drive. There will be entertainment from 6 - 9 p.m., community booths, activities for children and the family, and a low-level fireworks show at 9 p.m. Grand Avenue will be closed from City Lights Drive to Vantis beginning at 5 p.m. Information: www.avca.net. Other Aliso Viejo/AVCA events are now members only. There are no listings at this time. Rotary of Altadena Concerts in the Park. July 4 - Fourth of July Celebration. The 4th of July festival at Peralta Canyon Park (115 N. Pinney) will begin at 3 p.m. Food/game booths will continue until 8:45 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m. There will be live entertainment from 3 - 8:45 p.m., games and food vendors. The annual parade will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the festival. The parade begins at Canyon High School and travels north on Imperial Highway, turning right on Santa Ana Canyon Road ending at Quintana Road near Eucalyptus Park. Performances at The Packing House - Weekly performances at the Packing House on the mezzanine stage vary. The Packing House weekly performances generally take place on Friday and Saturday (unless otherwise noted). When multiple acts are noted on Saturday nights, generally one act is on the mezzanine stage at the Packing House and the other(s) are at the Unsung Brewery in the MAKE Building and/or at the Anaheim Brewery. July 4 - Freedom Festival - The Fourth of July Freedom Festival will take place from 2 - 9 p.m. at the Lenny Brewster Sports Center, 21024 Otoe Road at Dale Evans Parkway (1.5 miles north of Highway 18). There will be family activities, vendors, a beer garden and music by the bands TBA from 2 - 4:30 p.m. and from 6:30 - 9 p.m. No alcohol, BBQs or grills, and no animals; all parks also are smoke-free. Sunset Concert Series - The Apple Valley Sunset Concert Series takes place on Thursdays from 6 - 9 p.m. at Civic Center Park amphitheater, 14999 Dale Evans Parkway. July 2 - Downtown Arcadia Patriotic Festival and Fireworks The downtown Arcadia Patriotic Festival and Fireworks will take place from 5 - 9:30 p.m. on 1st Avenue between Huntington Drive and Diamond Street. Entertainment on the main stage will be by The Alumni, all graduates of Arcadia High School in the 1970s. There also will be an Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation entertainment lounge at 200 South First Avenue featuring guitarist Roger Espinoza and a Neighborhood Music School Stage. There will be food and community booths, carnival-style rides and a concert by Wild Child (Doors Tribute), activities for children and more. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. July 7 and 21, August 4 - Bellflower Summer StreetFest. Bands will be: July 7 - Pop Vinyl (Top 40/Pop/Rock), July 21 - Kelly Boyz (Country with Line Dancing) and August 4 - 80z All Stars. July 4 - 42nd Annual Country Fair. The city's 4th of July Country Fair takes place from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in City Hall Park, 401 S. July 1 and 2 - Chino Fireworks Spectacular. The Chino Fireworks Spectacular will take place over two days at Ruben S. Ayala Park, 14225 Central Avenue. Friday will be a carnival with carnival rides/games (fee) from 4 - 10 p.m. The fireworks celebration will take place on Saturday from 1 - 10 p.m. Food court, carnival rides/games (fee) will open at 1 p.m. Entertainment by Thank-U Drive Thru (Rock & Roll) will begin at 5 p.m. and the fireworks will be at 9 p.m. There also will be a military recognition at 7 p.m. No personal fireworks are allowed. Mondays July 11 - August 15 - Chino Seniors at the Square - Special concert series for seniors will take place on Mondays from from 6 - 8 p.m. at Aguiar Square, 6th Street between "C" and "D" Streets. Those interested may purchase a dinner which will be served from 5 - 6 p.m. prior to the concert, but meal reservations must be made in advance, $4 for residents and $14 for non-residents. July 4 - Independence Day Festival. Activities take place at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill. Segerstrom Center the Arts/Argyros Plaza Events. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present a variety of programs outdoors in the Argyros Plaza. The Covina Concert Band will celebrate the 4th of July with an early performance from 8:45 - 10 a.m. at the bandshell at Covina Park, 301 N. Fourth Street. July 16 and 17 - Getty 25 Celebrates the San Gabriel Valley. The public is invited to a series of community art festivals this year celebrating the Getty Center's 25th Anniversary. The weekend programs highlight the art, culture and diversity of the San Gabriel Valley. Cars and Stripes Forever will take place from 5 - 10 p.m. near the cruise ship terminal at Harbor Boulevard and the Vincent Thomas Bridge.
