FONTANA - FONTANA CAR SHOW. This NON-CRUISE event takes place on the first Friday of the month from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Fontana Civic Center, 8353 Sierra Avenue. The event includes pre-1979 classics, hot rods and muscle cars, imports and customs, low riders, specialty/exotics and motorcycles. INDIO - OUTDOOR MUSIC AT FANTASY SPRINGS RESORT CASINO. Toxicity (System of a Down Tribute) with Steel Rod. CHINO - CHINO FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR. The Chino Fireworks Spectacular will take place over two days at Ruben S. Ayala Park, 14225 Central Avenue. Friday will be a carnival with carnival rides/games (fee) from 4 - 10 p.m. The fireworks celebration will take place on Saturday from 1 - 10 p.m. Food court, carnival rides/games (fee) will open at 1 p.m. Entertainment by Thank-U Drive Thru (Rock & Roll) will begin at 5 p.m. and the fireworks will be at 9 p.m. There also will be a military recognition at 7 p.m. No personal fireworks are allowed. RIVERSIDE - CONCERT FOR HEROES. The 2022 Concert for Heroes will take place in the amphitheater of the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard. It is the only symphonic concert staged in a national cemetery. The concert will feature the Inland Empire/Riverside Philharmonic Orchestra performing a program of patriotic music and popular classics. Limited seating is available in the amphitheater, and it is recommended that all attending bring lawn chairs and/or blankets (and no bare feet are allowed). The cemetery is a National Shrine, and it is requested that all in attendance respect the grave sites of those who have served. Alcohol is not permitted. APPLE VALLEY - FREEDOM FESTIVAL - The Fourth of July Freedom Festival will take place from 2 - 9 p.m. at the Lenny Brewster Sports Center, 21024 Otoe Road at Dale Evans Parkway (1.5 miles north of Highway 18). There will be family activities, vendors, a beer garden and music by the bands TBA from 2 - 4:30 p.m. and from 6:30 - 9 p.m. No alcohol, BBQs or grills, and no animals; all parks also are smoke-free. CHINO HILLS - CHINO HILLS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES. CORONA - CORONA INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION. The Main Street USA Independence Day parade will take place on at 9 a.m. along Main Street from Ontario to Olive Street. The July 4th Festival will be from 5 - 10 p.m. at Santana Park, 598 Santana Way (limited parking at Crossroads Church, enter at Ontario/Fullerton). FONTANA - FONTANA 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION. The Fontana 4th of July Celebration moves to a new location this year. The event will take place from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Miller Amphitheater, 17004 Arrow Boulevard. There will be a variety of food and merchandise vendors and music by Yachtly Crew (Soft Yacht Rock). NORCO - 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION. The day begins with the Mayor's Equestrian Trail Ride and red-white-and-blue costume contest. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the George Ingalls Event Center, parking lot 2 (3737 Crestview Drive at Sixth), and the ride departs at 9:30 a.m. The Patriotic Picnic in the Park will take place from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Pikes Peak Park, 97 Sixth Street. There will be live music, crafts and contests for the whole family, a bike/trike parade and more. Attendees may bring a picnic, or food and drinks will be available for purchase. ONTARIO - ONTARIO INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION. The Ontario Independence Day Parade will take place at 9 a.m. downtown on Euclid Street. The parade will be followed by the "Blast at Ontario Town Square" at (about) 10:30 a.m. with the Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band and the All-States picnic (bring your own picnic). Afternoon events take place in Westwind Park, 2455 East Riverside Drive (south of the 60 Freeway between Archibald and Vineyard). There will be and family activities with rides and games at minimal cost; admission and live entertainment are free. PALM DESERT/PALM SPRINGS - PALM DESERT INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION. The City of Palm Desert will celebrate Independence Day with a concert and fireworks at Civic Center Park, 73510 Fred Waring Drive. The event will take place from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. featuring the Swing Cats Big Band with the Swing Kittens. A 20-minute fireworks show will take place at 9 p.m. Attendees may bring picnic dinners, but alcoholic beverages, smoking at portable BBQs are prohibited. Food trucks also will be available for food purchases. PALM DESERT/PALM SPRINGS - PALM SPRINGS 4TH OF JULY EVENTS. Palm Springs events will include a concert in the park featuring Turn The Page (Bob Seger Tribute) at 5:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Sunrise Park, 480 S. Sunrise Way. TEMECULA - TEMECULA 4TH OF JULY FAMILY FUN AND FIREWORKS. The 4th of July Star Spangled Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. on Old Town Front Street in Old Town Temecula, and the street will be closed from 9 a.m. until about noon. Later in the afternoon the celebration will continue from 2 - 10 p.m. in Ronald Reagan Sports Park, 30875 Rancho Vista Road. There will be food vendors, music and a fun zone (fee) for kids.
