DANA POINT - TOSHIBA TALL SHIPS FESTIVAL. The Tall Ships Festival, celebrating its 30th year, is the largest gathering of tall ships on the West Coast. The festival will feature an array of both paid and free family activities including live sea chantey music and island dance performances, living history demonstrations, and food vendors. Baby Beach stage performances (the Chantey concerts and vendor area) are free and take place between 9:15 a.m. and 5 p.m., with performances by Bill Dempsey, Pint & Dale, John Kraus, and hula groups, among others. LONG BEACH - LONG BEACH SUMMER AND MUSIC PRESENTS BUSKERFEST.. The Summer and Music season will close out the 2014 season with Buskerfest, an event in which a dozen up-and-coming bands will compete for your support while performing on stages set up on flatbed trucks with minimal plugged-in equipment. The dozen bands appearing will include The Ziggers, Eastern Conference Champions, So Many Wizards, Ghetto Blasters, Thy Squid, The Moderates, Bearcoon, Jesse Daniel Edwards, Classic, Ray Barbee, and Hanlin, Jones & IV.
