RIVERSIDE - CHINESE MOON FESTIVAL. The Chinese Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a traditional Chinese celebration dating back to the Tang Dynasty. The event will be celebrated from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum's Heritage House, 8193 Magnolia Avenue. The event will include storytelling, arts and crafts, cultural performances, moon viewing through high-powered telescopes and more. Traditional moon cakes also will be available for purchase.
