CHINO HILLS - SUMMER PERFORMANCES AT THE SHOPPES AT CHINO HILLS. Rodeo Revival (Country) from 5 - 8 p.m. The Shoppes at Chino Hills presentS a variety of performances throughout the summer. CLAREMONT - CLAREMONT FRIDAY NIGHTS LIVE. - The Friday night concert series takes place through October at locations in Claremont Village. Regular performances are from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Public Plaza (PP), 101 North Indian Hill Boulevard, the Claremont Chamber of Commerce (CC), 205 Yale Avenue (at Second Street), and City Hall/Council Chambers (CH, Harvard/2nd Street). Seating for most performances is not provided, but lawn chairs are welcome. CULVER CITY - FIESTA LA BALLONA. The annual event takes place at Veterans Park on Overland at Culver Boulevard on Friday from 4 - 10 p.m. (6 - 10 p.m. for the carnival), Saturday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Admission and entertainment are free; fee for carnival rides, games and vendors. COSTA MESA - METRO POINTE ENTERTAINMENT SERIES. Drexx Cannon (Motown/R&B/Dance). LA PUENTE - LA PUENTE LIVE. La Puente Live is a new open-air market in downtown La Puente on Main Street. The event will take place from 6 - 10 p.m. every Friday and will include produce sales and live entertainment. LONG BEACH - LONG BEACH TOWNE CENTER CONCERTS. Tiny Smalls (Pop). LOS ANGELES (DOWNTOWN AND VICINITY) - DANCE DOWNTOWN. Put on your dancing shoes and dance under the stars from 7 - 11 p.m. in the Music Center Plaza (Grand between First and Temple). Upcoming dances will be: July 31 - Cumbia, August 14 - 70s, 80s and 90s featuring Disco, and August 28 - Samba. The Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park returns for the summer with concerts Thursday through Sunday nights. On Thursday through Saturday, festival preconcert activities and the kids zone open at 6:30 p.m., with performances at 8 p.m. On Sunday, festival/pre-concert activities begin at 5 p.m. with performances for children/families beginning at 6:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted). LOS ANGELES (DOWNTOWN AND VICINITY) - FIG AT 7TH DOWNTOWN FESTIVAL. "Celebration of Afro-Brazilian Music and Dance" featuring Quetzal Guerrero and Jungle Fire with Capoeira Roda, Gisella Ferreira and DJ Potira. The Fig at 7th Downtown Festival will take place on Friday nights through August. LOS ANGELES (WEST) - FRIDAY FLIGHTS AT THE GETTY CENTER. Friday Flights programs bring together a network of Los Angeles-based musicians, visual artists and creative thinkers for a vibrant evening of sounds and sights. Each session is hosted by artists whose work blurs the world of music and contemporary art. Tonight's event is hosted by YACHT/5 Every Day. 5 Every Day is an LA-centric culture app created by the dance band YACHT offering a list of five things to do in LA every day.
