FONTANA

September 11, 18 and 25 - Fontana Performance Tuesdays. The City of Fontana presents a variety of family programming on Tuesday evenings during the year. Performances take place in the Steelworkers Auditorium, 8437 Sierra Avenue, or the Lewis Library courtyard adjacent to the Steelworkers Auditorium. On September 11, "Aztec Adventure" - an exploration of Aztec culture through music, storytelling and poetry with Michael Heralda at 6:30 p.m. in the Steelworkers Auditorium. On September 18 - Pop and Classic Rock Guitar with Jennifer Corday from 5:30 - 7:30 in the Lewis Library Courtyard. On September 25 - "Modern Expression" - dance and drumming with the Lula Washington Dance Theater at 6:30 p.m. in the Steelworkers Auditorium. September 29 - Fontana Car Show. This new show replaces the Cruising Spring Street evening event and is a non-cruise car show. The show will take place from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Civic Center behind City Hall, 8353 Sierra. Those exhibiting cars may arrive at 2 p.m. The event will also include food vendors and a live band. LAKE ARROWHEAD

2012 Lake Arrowhead Village Concert Series - All performances (unless otherwise noted) take place at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Arrowhead Village, 28200 Highway 189. Reserved seating is available for purchase; free open festival seating is in area behind tables. Festival seating area opens at 10 a.m. the morning of the concerts. September 15 - Performances at Victoria Gardens. C.G. Ryche (World Music/Percussion). The performances will take place from 1 - 9 p.m. in the Chaffey Town Square area of Victoria Gardens. September 29 - Calabaceado Festival. Calabaceado is a cowboy dance with high kicks, lively music, and theatrical play that originates in Baja Mexico. Various folklorico groups from Southern California will showcase their Calabaceado dance. The program will take place from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Bryant Park, 7950 Philbin Avenue. September 29 - Rock the Block Riverside. Rock the Block Riverside will take place from 5 - 9 p.m. in downtown Riverside on the Civic Plaza between University and Mission Inn Avenues. The event will include performances by Dose of Adolescence, That Art Thou, I am Cassettes and Natural Heights. Information: www.rocktheblockriverside.com or www.riversidedowntown.org.

September 30 - Chinese Moon Festival. The Chinese Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a traditional Chinese celebration dating back to the Tang Dynasty. The event will be celebrated from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum's Heritage House, 8193 Magnolia Avenue. The event will include Moon Festival stories, chopsticks training, Tai Chi demonstrations, arts and crafts, a lion dance performance and traditional songs, cooking demonstrations, and moon viewing through high-powered telescopes. Riverside Plaza Performances. PLEASE NOTE: RIVERSIDE PLAZA WILL BE CHANGING MANAGEMENT, AND THE FUTURE OF ANY ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMS BEYOND SEPTEMBER IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. SAN BERNARDINO

September 13 - 16 - 23rd Annual Stater Brothers Route 66 Rendezvous. Event covers 35 blocks in downtown San Bernardino and includes over 1700 custom cars, classics, trucks, muscle cars and Corvettes. Entertainment on all four days is at the Court Street Square Stage, Court and "E" Streets. Overall event hours are 6 - 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to all but a limited number of events is free.   • September 15 - Route 66 Rendezvous Entertainment: Restless Blues Band (Blues) at 5 p.m.

  • September 16 - Route 66 Rendezvous Entertainment: Jonny Come Lately at 6 p.m. and Mad Max and the Wild Ones at 7:30 p.m.

  • September 17 - Route 66 Rendezvous Entertainment: Ashley's Midnite Rockers at 1 p.m., Neil Morrow at 3 p.m., and Wild Child (Doors Tribute) at 7 p.m.

  • September 18 - Route 66 Rendezvous Entertainment: Cold Duck (R&B/70s Top 40/Dance) from noon - 2 p.m.

September 28 - California Native American Day Celebration. The California Native American Day Celebration will take place from 6 - 9 p.m. at California State University San Bernardino, 5500 University Parkway. The event is open to the public and will include traditional bird songs, music, art and Native American food vendors. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seatings. TEMECULA

September 29 - Endless Summer Concert and Pool Party. The Temecula Endless Summer Concert and Pool Party will take place from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Community Recreation Center Pool, 30875 Rancho Vista Road. The concert is free, but regular fees will apply for swimming, and capacity is limited in the pool. The concert will feature the surf band Woodie and the Longboards. Hot Summer Nights in Old Town Temecula. Hot Summer Nights includes a variety of performances and family activities from 6 - 10 p.m. throughout Old Town Temecula. See website for location listings for performances. Information: (951) 678-1456, www.cityoftemecula.org or www.temeculacalifornia.com.

UPLAND

September 7, 8 and 9 - St. Joseph's Parish Fiesta. The St. Joseph's Church parish Fiesta will take place Friday from 5 - 10 p.m., Saturday from noon - 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 9 p.m. There will be carnival rides, games and food vendors (fee), and admission and entertainment are free. Friday and Sunday entertainment TBA. Saturday will be the band Cold Duck (70s Top 40/Dance) frm 6 - 10 p.m. St. Joseph's is located at 877 North Campus Avenue.
