DANA POINT HARBOR - TALLSHIPS FESTIVAL. The Ocean Institute celebrates its 21th year hosting the largest gathering of tallships on the West Coast. The festival will feature an array of family activities including live music, art shows, living history demonstrations and food vendors. Also maritime displays and presentations, Polynesian dancers, interactive pirate encampment and cannon battles. Grass Park activities, Chantey concerts, arts and crafts show, pirate and living history encampments and vendor areas are free. IRVINE - UCI 40TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of UCI, the University, along with the City of Irvine, will host a concert in Aldrich Park at the center of campus featuring The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. University and city officials will make comments at 6 p.m., and the concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission and parking on campus after 4 p.m. are free.
