Performances at The Packing House - Weekly performances at the Packing House on the mezzanine stage vary. The Packing House weekly performances take place on Friday and Saturday (except where otherwise noted). When multiple acts are noted on Saturday nights, generally one act is on the mezzanine stage at the Packing House and the other(s) are at the Unsung Brewery in the MAKE Building and/or at the Anaheim Brewery. Entertainment will include mariachi and ballet folklorico performances, taiko drums, local choirs and other groups and more. Enjoy late night hours at the Big Night Out: For the Record from 8 - 10:30 p.m. The end of summer music event will feature all vinyl DJ sets from Olive Kimoto and Colored Craig, vinyl record sales from local vendors Analog Record Shop and Factory Records. Food available for purchase will include specialty cocktails from OCMA's cafe bar Verdant and Mexican street food from FALAFA, plus galleries will be open until 10:30 p.m. Big Night Out is held the second Friday of every month, and tickets are not required. The Pacific Symphony's mobile communiity concert experience is touring Orange County. Saturdays and Sundays, September 3 - 25 - Festival of Children at South Coast Plaza. - The Festival of Children is a month-long celebration of the wonders of childhood with performances, free activities and celebrity appearances. Most events are Saturday and Sunday afternoons in the Carousel and Jewel Courts of South Coast Plaza, Bristol St./405 Freeway. The event also showcases children's charities. Segerstrom Center the Arts/Argyros Plaza Events. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts will present a variety of programs outdoors in the Argyros Plaza. Unless otherwise noted, all performances last approximately one hour. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is located at 600 Town Center Drive. Events required an RSVP for a free ticket. The Pacific Symphony's mobile communiity concert experience is touring Orange County. The 45-minute pop-up chamber music concert performed by an ensemble of Pacific Symphony musicians will take place at 6 p.m. at Pines Park, 34941 Camino Capistrano, Capistrano Beach. Old World has been hosting Orange County's largest Oktoberfest since 1977, with chicken dancing, oom pah pah bands, competitions, a 10,000 square foot open air Biergarten and over 60 beers on tap. Ongoing, Tuesday Nights - Surf City Nights. Surf City Nights, Orange County's largest weekly street fair and farmers market, takes place weekly from 5 - 9 p.m. throughout the year. The event includes over 100 vendors, family-friendly/live music street performances, and activities for children. The event takes place along Main Street in downtown Huntington Beach and The Strand on 5th. Check website for weekly entertainment information. Information: www.hbdowntown.com. September 8 - Irvine Nights. The Flux Capacitors (80s). Irvine Nights night market events take place from 5 - 10 p.m. at the OC Great Park in the Palms Court Arts Complex. September 17 - Fiesta Latina en Irvine. The City of Irvine will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Fiesta Latina en Irvine at the Great Park from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be a pop-up exhibition honoring local artists, live music performances, community organization booths and food for sale. September 29 - Mid-Autumn Festival at the Great Park. The City of Irvine, in partnership with the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, will host a Mid-Autumn Festival at the Great Park from 5 - 9 p.m. Also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, it is a traditional festival celebrated by many East and Southeast Asian communities. There will be live music and dance performances, cultural exhibits, crafts, specialty food trucks and art demonstrations. Fiestas Patrias celebration will take place from noon - 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon - 10 p.m. on Flower Street between Civic Center Drive and Santa Ana Boulevard. The event will include live entertainment, food and merchandise vendors, carnival rides for children, a beer garden for those 21+ and more. The traditional El Grito ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday on the main stage. Headline entertainers will be A.B.
