September 2 - Cruising Spring Street: Cruise Night and Market Night. Hot rods, low riders and live music in downtown Fontana every first Friday of the month. September 11 - University of Redlands Performances. Faculty Showcase from 2 - 3 p.m. in FLPH. The Chinese Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a traditional Chinese celebration dating back to the Tang Dynasty. The event will be celebrated from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum's Heritage House, 8193 Magnolia Avenue. The event will include Moon Festival stories, chopsticks training, Tai Chi demonstrations, arts and crafts, a lion dance performance and traditional songs and music, cooking demonstrations, and moon viewing through high-powered telescopes. The City of Riverside will be hosting a program reflecting on the ten years since the 9/11 attacks. The program will take place from 3 - 4:30 p.m. in the City Hall Breezeway, 3900 Main Street (corner of 9th and Main). The public is invited to attend. Two sets of performances are Main Street Events and shows on the courtyard near El Torito on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 - 9 p.m. and Main Street performances on Sundays from 4 - 6 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at Riverside Plaza. September 15 - 18 - 22nd Annual Stater Brothers Route 66 Rendezvous. Event covers 35 blocks in downtown San Bernardino and includes over 1700 custom cars, classics, trucks, muscle cars and Corvettes. Entertainment on all four days is at the Court Street Square Stage, Court and "E" Streets. See Court Street Square entertainment listings below. Overall event hours are 6 - 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to all but a limited number of events is free. The California Native American Day Celebration will take place from 6 - 9 p.m. at California State University San Bernardino, 5500 University Parkway. The event is open to the public and will include traditional bird songs and music, and Native American food and artists (fee). Bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seatings. Concerts take place Saturdays from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m at Court Street Square, downtown San Bernardino at the corner of "E" Street and Court Street. September 9 - 11 - St. Joseph's Church Fall Festival. The St. Joseph's Church Fall Festival will take place September 9 - 11. Hours are Friday from 5 - 10 p.m., Saturday from noon - 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 7 p.m. There will be carnival rides, games and food vendors (fee), plus entertainment. Entertainment and admission are free. On Friday night: Silver Beatles (Beatles Tribute) from 6 - 10 p.m., and on Saturday night Cold Duck (70s/R&B) from 6 - 10 p.m. St. Joseph's is located at 877 North Campus Avenue.
