In 1998 I put together a volume of poetry to accompany photographs I had taken during my earlier travels. The book, Journeys, Destinations, Routes, was updated in 2004, and several poems from that volume have been included on the site from year to year. One poem is included this year, and the other four are new poems to accompany the summer theme, drawing from the story of Ulysses in "The Odyssey."
