or most of the summer you've been able to find Dorothy's "Attitude" series of photographs
on the "Extras" page. The "Attitude" bunch has now moved to Oz to join Ozma, Tik-Tok, Rinkitink and others from the Land of Oz. Never heard of them? Neither have most people. In addition
to his first book in the Land of Oz series, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum also wrote 13 other Oz books. The last two were published posthumously after his
death in 1919. In 1921, American writer Ruth Plumly Thompson continued the series, writing 19 more books for the Land of Oz series through 1939. All of the books except the first
were illustrated by John R. Neill. In addition to the "Attitude" pictures, you can view images of some of the first-edition covers below. Many of these currently (mid-August) are on exhibit in the
Special Collections section of the Rivera Library at U.C. Riverside. You can find the names of the titles in the Oz series and the dates in which the books were published listed at the bottom of the page.
