In the original story of "The Wizard of Oz," Dorothy's shoes are silver colored (not ruby red). The Good Witch tells her the shoes "have wonderful powers. And one of the most curious things about them is that they can carry you to anyplace in the world in three steps, and each step will be made in the wink of an eye. All you have to do is knock the heels together three times and command the shoes to carry you wherever you wish to go." A good story is like those silver shoes -- able to transport a person through time and across borders to virtually anywhere in our world -- or beyond. This summer the site celebrates timeless stories, myths, fables and more, in both pictures and words. Enjoy the concerts, and come on in and see what's new!
